SCRUM PSM-1 CERTIFICATION (December 2022)
I knew that in order to become an effective leader in gaming, I needed to learn and master the processes that would be expected of me.
To do this, I trained and certified as a Professional Scrum Master with a greater understanding of the agile development framework, including product/sprint backlogs, sprints, retrospectives, epics, and user stories. With this certification and combined with my philosophy statement, I will maximize my ability to be the gaming leader effective teams deserve.
PERSONAL PROJECT: TUTORIAL GAME (2022)
Using a Udemy.com course, I self-taught myself the fundamentals of game development in order to better understand developer perspectives and how it translates to different development departments so that, as a producer or project manager, I know how to better act as a change agent and effective leader. This includes:
- Project creation/level design
- Actor types
- Meshes/brushes
- Lighting
- Materials
- Characters/Input
- Collisions
- Blueprint logic
- User Interface
- Audio

PERSONAL PROJECT: CHAOS CLASSROOM (2022)
After learning Unreal Engine's in-engine tools to better understand how developers master their craft, I wanted to have more advanced knowledge of development processes and workflows from a production and project management mindset. To do this, I used Udemy.com again to teach myself how to develop a fully-functional endless runner game from scratch, paying close attention to the development process and "why" development steps were done in the order they were. This greatly taught me the importance of effective management, communication, scheduling, and planning.

Professional project: game development CURRICULUM
As an Educational Lead overseeing all aspects of organizational planning and scheduling, I discovered a ground-breaking opportunity to break the barriers of game development in education. Utilizing professional networks and online resources, I spearheaded the creation of a comprehensive game development curriculum including planning, revising, budgeting, implementation, reflection, and documentation. This program educates prospective students interested in game development careers on the fundamentals of game design, basic understanding of Scrum agile framework, and portfolio creation to maximize career opportunities upon graduation.
Professional project: director of partnerships - allegiant stadium
To continue growing my professional leadership skills, I single-handedly established an exclusive partnership with the Las Vegas Raiders football team and Allegiant Stadium. Under this program, I oversee all organizational operations including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of personnel, scheduling, staffing, budgeting, risk analysis and management, and process improvement. In addition, I facilitate communication across multi-functional teams while serving as the primary point of contact and providing mentorship for new personnel and leaders.
